SINGAPORE (ICIS)--CPC Corp's 500,000 tonne/year No 5 cracker in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, is currently off line for maintenance, a company source said on Tuesday.

The cracker was shut on 10 August for turnaround that is expected to last 40-45 days, the source said.

CPC is looking at buying spot ethylene cargoes for first-half September arrival, but no offers have emerged so far, he said.

Ethylene daily spot prices were assessed stable at $1,160-1,200/tonne (€800-828/tonne) CFR (cost and freight) NE (northeast) Asia on 15 August.
