HOUSTON (ICIS)--US-based producer DuPont on Thursday began maintenance at its Orange cracker in Texas to perform repairs on a storage tank at the site, the company said in a public filing.

Emissions associated with the procedure are expected to last until 17 September, according to the filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).

The company did not say if or how the procedure will impact operations at the 680,000 tonne/year cracker.

A DuPont spokesperson declined to comment on the filing, citing company policy.
