HOUSTON (ICIS)--Huntsman's Port Neches cracker in Texas could be off line until the weekend, the US-based company said on Thursday.
"Apparently, [the cracker] is going be down for a couple of days from now," a spokesperson said.
Earlier in the day, Huntsman said it was restarting its Port Neches cracker in Texas after a brief outage.
The 193,000 tonne/year unit went down on Wednesday, according to information in the market.
No details were available on the cause behind the shutdown.
The same cracker was shut down in the last week of July for planned maintenance.
Huntsman restarted the unit on 8 August.
