HOUSTON (ICIS)--US-based producer Chevron Phillips Chemical reported flaring from its Sweeny ethylene complex in Texas, citing the shutdown of a feedstock pipeline, according to a public filing on Friday.

Chevron Phillips has three crackers in Sweeny with a combined ethylene capacity of 1.9m tonnes/year. The pipeline carried ethane and propane.

The cracker affected was unit 24, Chevron Phillips said in a public filing. The unit has 676,000 tonnes/year of capacity.

No further details were available.

A company spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
