PetroChina Liaohe to restart Panjin powdered PP unit on 23 August

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s PetroChina Liaohe Petrochemical is planning to restart its powdered polypropylene (PP) unit at Panjin in Liaoning province late on 23 August after a four-day shutdown caused by a power outage, a company source said on Tuesday.

“The plant has the capacity to produce about 105 tonnes of powdered PP per day if it is running at full capacity,” the source said in Mandarin.

The producer is offering its powdered PP at yuan (CNY) 12,300/tonne ($1,919/tonne) EXW (ex-works) on 23 August, which is CNY250/tonne or 2.1% higher from last Friday at CNY12,050/tonne EXW, the source added.
