US ethanol inventories and production rebound

HOUSTON (ICIS)--US ethanol inventories and production rebounded last week, US Energy Information Administration (EIA) data revealed on Wednesday.  

Ethanol inventories were at 18.2m bbl in the week ended 19 August, up by 3% from 17.6m bbl in the previous week.

Meanwhile, domestic ethanol production averaged 904,000 bbl/day, up by 1% from 899,000 bbl/day a week earlier.

September ethanol settled at $2.907/gal on the Chicago Board of Trade on Wednesday, up from $2.804/gal a week before.
