HOUSTON (ICIS)--All ports along the US east coast have been reopened, the US Coast Guard said on Monday.

The Coast Guard warned mariners to proceed with caution on the waterways, and encouraged recreational boaters to stay off the water until all aids to navigation are verified, tides return to normal and debris from the storm is cleared.

The ports were closed over the weekend for Hurricane Irene, which hit the US east coast on Saturday and made its way up from North Carolina all the way to Canada.
