SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Zhejiang Qing’an Chemical is currently running its 60,000 tonne/year phthalic anhydride (PA) plant at 50-60% of capacity after the unit resumed operations on 27 August, said a company source on Tuesday.
The plant located at Jiaxing, Zhejiang province, in eastern China had undergone maintenance for 16 days, the source said.
PA is used in the manufacture of phthalate plasticisers, the main product being dioctyl phthalate (DOP) which is used as a plasticiser in polyvinyl chloride (PVC).
