Jacobs wins work for Saudi Arabia Ras Tanura aromatics project

Ras Tanura refineryHOUSTON (ICIS)--Jacobs has won a bid for work on the second phase of Saudi Aramco’s Ras Tanura refinery clean fuels and aromatics project in eastern Saudi Arabia, the US petrochemicals engineering firm said on Tuesday.

Jacobs said its contract includes engineering and design work, as well as work on modifying the refinery to comply with “expected future” environmental regulations.

Jacobs did not disclose financial or capacity details.

According to information on Saudi Aramco’s website, the Ras Tanura refinery has a crude oil processing capacity of 550,000 bbl/day.
