Sumitomo Chemical Singapore runs PMMA lines at full ops

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Sumitomo Chemical Singapore is running its two polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) lines at full capacity after their restart last month, a company source said on Thursday.

Its 50,000 tonne/year No 1 line in Jurong Island was restarted towards the end of August after about a month-long scheduled maintenance.

Meanwhile, Sumitomo Chemical’s 50,000 tonne/year No 2 PMMA line was restarted in the middle of August after a one week outage, said the source.
