HOUSTON (ICIS)--Air Products has won a contract to supply INEOS Bio’s waste-to-bioethanol plant in ?xml:namespace>
Air Products did not disclose volumes or financial details.
INEOS Bio and partner New Planet Energy broke ground on the project to convert yard, vegetative, household and other wastes into 8m gal/year (30m litres/year) of biofuel in February. Production is expected to start up in mid 2012.
Mark Niederschulte, chief operating officer of INEOS Bio, said the supply deal with Air Products marks a “key step” in INEOS’s plan to commercialise its advanced bioenergy technology.
INEOS Bio is part of the petrochemicals major INEOS.
