GUANGZHOU (ICIS)--China’s Zibo Qixiang Tengda Chemical is planning to start up its new 100,000 tonne/year butadiene (BD) plant at Zibo in Shandong province by late March 2012, a company source said on Wednesday.
The company plans to sell its BD output on the spot market until its 50,000 tonne/year butadiene rubber (BR) plant comes on stream in late 2012, the source said.
After the start-up, the company will use half of its BD output for captive use at the BR plant and sell the rest on the spot market.
