HOUSTON (ICIS)--The US September paraxylene (PX) contract price was concluded at an increase of 5.5 cents/lb ($121/tonne, €86/tonne) from August, market sources said on Thursday.
The September price was settled at 82.5 cents/lb DEL (delivered), up from the August price of 77 cents/lb DEL, according to a producer and a buyer.
The Asia Contract Price (ACP) for September PX was settled up by $115/tonne from August at $1,655/tonne CFR (cost and freight) Asia.
Since early 2010, US contract price movement has tracked the ACP within $50/tonne.
