HOUSTON (ICIS)--US vinyl acetate monomer (VAM) exports hardly moved in July, totaling 25,481 tonnes, an increase of 1% over 25,152 tonnes in July 2010, according to US International Trade Commission (ITC) data released on Thursday.
Mexico, Brazil, Belgium, Canada and Italy were the top five VAM destinations, taking 19,313 tonnes or 76% of all exports in July.
Those countries took 20,522 tonnes, or about 1,200 tonnes more, in the same month of 2010.
Major US VAM sellers include Celanese, Dow Chemical, DuPont and LyondellBasell.
