SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Taiwan’s Nan Ya Plastics shut down its 360,000 tonne/year No 2 monoethylene glycol (MEG) unit in Mailiao on Thursday evening for a turnaround, a company source said on Friday.
“The plant was shut down yesterday [Thursday] evening and it will be taken off line for around one month,” the source said.
The company’s 360,000 tonne/year No 1 MEG plant was also shut on Thursday for a 35-45 day turnaround, according to an earlier report from ICIS.
Nan Ya’s 360,000 tonne/year No 3 MEG unit and 720,000 tonne/year No 4 unit are running at full capacity, the source said.
