SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea’s Songwon Industrial is running its newly expanded 70,000 tonne/year polymer antioxidant production facility at Ulsan at full capacity, the polymer additive major said on Tuesday.
The company completed expanding its polymer antioxidant facility capacity by 27.3%, or 15,000 tonnes/year, to 70,000 tonnes/year ahead of schedule and brought the expanded facility on stream on 20 July this year, according to a company statement.
“We previously announced the start-up of the new capacity to come on stream in August 2011…The additional capacity is a key step in our commitment to support the growing demand of the polymer industry,” said Jongho Park, the chairman and CEO of Songwon Industrial.
Songwon Industrial also produces lubricants, surface coating agents, polyurethane (PU), alkyl phenols, biphenol and flocculants.
