HOUSTON (ICIS)--US Praxair’s Russian subsidiary reached a 15-year agreement to supply nitrogen and hydrogen to Guardian Industries’s new float glass facility in Rostov, the company said on Wednesday.
Praxair Rus will build and operate an air separation unit and a hydrogen plant on the Guardian site in southern Russia, with start-up scheduled for the third quarter of 2012.
The mixture of nitrogen and hydrogen will prevent the formation of dross on the glass, Praxair said.
Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
