SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Iran’s Sepahan Oil is planning to shut its 500,000 tonne/year Group I SN500 base oil unit in Isfahan during the week of 19 September for around two months, a source close to the company said on Friday.

The turnaround is part of the base oil producer’s annual routine overhaul, the source added.

Sepahan Oil will not supply its product to the market during the turnaround, which is expected to be completed in late November, the source said.

The plant produces SN500 of a low viscosity index (LVI).
