US SEPT PA RISES ON OX
US September contracts for molten and flake grades of phthalic anhydride (PA) were assessed up 5.50 cents/lb ($121/tonne, €86/tonne) to 80-87 cents/lb FOB (free on board) USG (US Gulf). Flake was assessed at 81-88 cents/lb DEL (delivered) USG.

US SEPT MA ROLLS OVER
US maleic anhydride (MA) September contracts rolled over on steady feedstocks at 87.2-93.20 cents/lb ($1,922-2,055/tonne, €1,365-1,459/tonne) FOB (free on board) USG (US Gulf) for molten material.

EU SEPT TDI DROPS
European toluene di-isocyanate (TDI) contract prices have fallen an average of €50/tonne ($69/tonne) in September because of strong competition and plentiful supply, settling at €1,850-1,950/tonne FD (free delivered) NWE (Northwest Europe).

BASF HIKE ON Q4 BDO
BASF said it will increase list and off-list prices on North American butanediol (BDO) by 8 cents/lb ($176/tonne, €127/tonne), effective on 1 October or as contracts allow. ICIS assessed third-quarter North American BDO prices at 150-164 cents/lb.

US SEPT PTA UP ON PX
The US September contract price for purified terephthalic acid (PTA) was assessed at 69.53 cents/lb ($1,533/tonne, €1,088/tonne) DEL (delivered) USG (US Gulf), up from 65.84 cents/lb in August in line with higher paraxylene (PX) prices.

EU SEPT BPA DOWN €50
European September bisphenol-A (BPA) contracts settled at €1,650-1,750/tonne ($2,250-2,380/tonne) FD (free delivery) New (Northwest Europe), down €50/tonne from August on lower feedstock costs and weak demand.
