RealSunChem is at present in the final stages of connecting its new GBL line equipment, the source said.
The company is expecting to produce on-spec material by early November if test runs at its new GBL line are successful, the source said.
The company has an existing 12,000 tonne/year GBL line at the same petrochemical site.
RealSunChem is seeking a 1,000-tonne bulk butanediol cargo to build up its feedstock inventory, the source said.
The company is prepared to pay $3,200/tonne (€2,336/tonne) CFR (cost and freight)
RealSunChem has purchased last week a 100 tonnes of butanediol at yuan (CNY) 24,500/tonne delivered.
