HOUSTON (ICIS)--Linde North America has expanded its Hillsboro plant in Oregon to produce ultra-high purity (UHP) gaseous nitrogen and oxygen, the global gases and engineering company said on Monday.

Linde will supply the gases to semiconductor manufacturers in the Pacific northwest.

UHP gases are integral in the manufacture of semiconductors and electronics because of “extremely tight design specifications”, the company said.

Linde North America is a subsidiary of The Linde Group.
