HOUSTON (ICIS)--A leak from a Mont Belvieu facility in Texas has been fixed, but not before the release of 200 lb of ethylene, according to a filing with the National Response Center (NRC) available on Tuesday.

The material leaked from a Targa Resources facility on Monday, the filing said, adding that the release occurred during construction activity, but its cause was unknown.

The leak caused the temporary shutdown of a Texas highway near Houston, according to media reports on Monday, which cited a Mont Belvieu police spokesperson.

Targa Resources did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
