SHANGHAI (ICIS)--China’s Henan Shenma plans to restart its 150,000 tonne/year adipic acid (ADA) plant in Henan province at the end of September, a source close to the company said on Thursday.
The plant was shut down on 10 September for regular maintenance and is expected to be restarted on 28 September, the source added.
The company owns a downstream 200,000 tonne/year nylon 6,6 (polyamide 6,6) plant at the same site in central China.
ADA is used in the manufacture of nylon 6,6, polyurethane (PU), plasticisers, hexamethylene adipate, thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) and resins for shoe soles.
