HOUSTON (ICIS)--INEOS ABS plans to conduct a 14-day maintenance turnaround beginning on 5 November at its acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) plant at Addyston, Ohio, a company executive said on Monday.
David Gingras, vice president and business manager, INEOS ABS, said the turnaround at the 190,000 tonne/year plant is not expected to have a market impact.
“We will build up our inventory during October to satisfy our customers’ needs while the plant is down for maintenance,” Gingras said.
ABS demand has been weak because of the uncertainty of the global economy, among other factors.
The turnaround is expected to last 14 days, with part of the plant returning to operation after seven days.
INEOS ABS is a subsidiary of INEOS.
