LONDON (ICIS)--Huntsman may cut 110 jobs in its advanced materials business in ?xml:namespace>
The cuts would come on top of the 500 job cuts the US-based chemicals firm announced this week at its Swiss-based textile chemicals operations, which have come under competitive market pressure and have been hit by the strong Swiss franc.
Unions Angestellte Schweiz and Syna said the cuts in advanced materials would, if realised, affect Huntsman’s sites in
“Angestellte Schweiz and Syna are prepared to work with the management of Huntsman’s advanced materials business to find alternatives to job cuts,” the unions said in a joint statement.
Huntsman media officials did not immediately respond to a request for additional information.
