Methanex rolls over $470/tonne APCP for October methanol

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Methanex has listed its methanol Asian posted contract price (APCP) for October at $470/tonne (€348/tonne), unchanged from September levels, the company said on Friday.

The APCP on a cost and freight (CFR) Asia basis is the benchmark for Methanex’s contracts in South Korea and Japan, where importers buy on negotiated formulas based on this figure.

Meanwhile, methanol inventories in South Korea are at high levels due to weak demand, market sources said.
