Fire breaks out at Petrobras refinery in Texas – reports

HOUSTON (ICIS)--A refinery fire in Pasadena, Texas, was contained by fire fighters on Friday, according to media reports.

The fire broke out in the afternoon at the 100,000 bbl/day Pasadena Refining System owned by Petrobras USA, according to local media reports.

The fire originated in the refinery’s crude distillation unit, Reuters reported.

Officials from Petrobras USA were not immediately available for comment.

Gasoline futures ended the day up 0.680 cent to $2.626/gal.
