EPCA '11: First Europe October styrene agreed down by €85/tonne

BERLIN (ICIS)--The first October styrene barge contract was agreed at €1,117/tonne, down €85/tonne ($113/tonne) from the previous month, the buyer involved in the contract said late on Friday.

A decrease had been expected following a significant drop in the October benzene contract and a bearish September that saw styrene values lose ground amid wider economic uncertainty.

The settlement was made on a free delivered (FD) northwest Europe (NWE) basis. Further confirmation from the seller is pending.

($1 = €0.75)
