US Praxair acquires industrial gases distributor National Alloy

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Praxair has acquired industrial and specialty gases distributor National Alloy and Equipment for an undisclosed fee, the US-based industrial gases producer said late on Thursday.
Houston-based National Alloy and Equipment is also an independent distributor of welding equipment, supplies and services, Praxair said in a statement.
National Alloy and Equipment provides technical support to makers of high-pressure control packages and drilling risers for harsh offshore environments that require low-alloy, high-strength wires and fluxes, the company added.
