AkzoNobel to invest $20m in Brazil, US amine derivatives

HOUSTON (ICIS)--AkzoNobel plans to invest $20m (€14.8m) to increase production of amine derivatives over the next two years at its Brazil plant in Itupeva, Sao Paulo,  and its US plant at Morris, Illinois, the Dutch coatings firm said on Monday.

Amine derivatives are used in industries such as oilfields, organoclay, fabric softeners, agrochemicals and home and personal care, AkzoNobel said.

The company did not release capacity numbers.
