HOUSTON (ICIS)--COIM Asia Pacific completed the expansion of its polyester polyols production facility in Singapore, the company said on Wednesday.
At the same time COIM announced an investment for the production of low-fogging polyester polyols at the same site.
Low-fogging polyester polyols are used in the automotive industry for slabstock foam used in roof headliners, head rest, internal door panels and seats.
"With this investment, COIM Asia Pacific will be the first polyester polyols producer with a low fogging treatment plant in Asia," said Vipul Rastogi, general manager of COIM Asia Pacific, "and further enhances our commitment to the customers in this region."
COIM Asia Pacific is a subsidiary of COIM, an Italy-based polyurethane chemicals producer.
