SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japan’s Mitsubishi Gas Chemical (MGC) plans to restart its 51,000 tonne/year methyl methacrylate (MMA) plant on 20 November after its turnaround, a company source said on Thursday.

The plant in Niigata in northwest Japan was shut on 10 October for scheduled maintenance, added the source.

MMA is used to produce polymethyl MMA (PMMA) polymers, cast sheets and acrylic resins for coatings and emulsions.
