HOUSTON (ICIS)--Mexico was the largest recipient of polypropylene from the US in August, followed by Canada and China, the US international trade commission (ITC) said on Thursday.
Mexico received 37,953 tonnes of PP in August 2011, a 10.1% decline compared with the same month of 2010.
Canada bought 26,979 tonnes of PP in August, for a 6% decline year on year.
China was the third largest buyer of PP in August with 10,204 tonnes. This compares with 1,894 tonnes purchased on the same month of 2010.
Other less significant buyers of PP in August were Peru, Hong Kong, India, Vietnam, Singapore and Ireland.
