SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Thailand’s PTT Chemical plans to restart its 250,000 tonne/year high density polyethylene (HDPE) plant at Map Ta Phut in Rayong province by the end of October, a company source said on Friday.

The company shut the plant on 9 October because of a technical issue, the source said.

“The producer’s other HDPE plants were not affected by the technical problem,” the source added.

PTT Chemical has two other HDPE plants at the same site with a combined capacity of 550,000 tonnes/year.
