China’s food prices increased by 13.4% year on year, the highest rise among all products, according to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
The country’s producer price index (PPI), which is a measure of wholesale prices, increased by 6.5% year on year in September, the NBS said.
The producers’ PPI increased by 10% year on year in September, while that of raw chemicals and fuel increased by 12.7% and 12.3%, respectively.
However, the figures for September narrowed from previous months, NBS said.
