SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea’s Hanwha Chemical is planning to shut its 80,000 tonne/year phthalic anhydride (PA) plant in Ulsan from 23 October to 13 November for maintenance, a company source said on Friday.

As a result, the company will not be offering spot PA cargoes in November, the source said.

The source added that Hanwha Chemical has extremely limited spot availability for the second half of October.

Hanwha Chemical was offering on Friday spot PA cargoes at $1,460/tonne (€1,051/tonne) FOB (free on board) Korea, LC (letter of credit) at sight basis.
