SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Daqing Petrochemcial shut its 80,000 tonne/year high density polyethylene (HDPE) plant at Heilongjiang province on 13 October for a turnaround that will last four to five days, a source said on Friday.

The plant produces largely extrusion-grade HDPE, the source said.

The plant outage will not have any impact on the domestic HDPE market because of its small capacity, local distributors said.
