LONDON (ICIS)--Spanish oil and gas firm Repsol is in the process of resuming output at its propylene oxide (PO)/styrene monomer (SM) facility in ?xml:namespace>Tarragona, Spain, following a delay, said a company source on Friday.
The PO/SM plant had experienced some recent restart problems, following maintenance work, which had limited its supplies of styrene, PO and derivatives such as polyols and monopropylene glycol (MPG).
The nameplate capacities at the Tarragona site are estimated to be 200,000 tonnes/year for PO, 450,000 tonnes/year for SM and 63,000 tonnes/year for MPG, according to the company. Capacity details for polyols at the site are not available.
