Solvay restarts ECH plant in Germany after maintenance

LONDON (ICIS)--Belgium-based Solvay has restarted its 60,000 tonne/year epichlorohydrin (ECH) plant in Rheinberg, Germany, after a one-week planned maintenance, a company source said on Tuesday.

“We restarted our Rheinberg plant successfully after maintenance,” the source at the chemical producer  said.

ECH is used to make durable coatings for storage tanks, pipes, domestic appliances and food and drink cans.
