SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Taiwan’s CPC-Shell Lubricant Co (CSLC) plans to shut down its 265,000 tonnes/year Group I base oil plant in Kaohsiung for a 35-day maintenance from 7 November, a company source said on Tuesday.

The company has a lot of inventory on hand and does not expect the shutdown to affect its supply to contract buyers next month, the source said.

The shutdown would have limited impact on Asia base oil markets as regional demand remain weak, while supply stays ample, traders said.

CSLC, a subsidiary of CPC Corp, mainly produces 70P, 150SN, 250SN, 500SN and BS150.
