HOUSTON (ICIS)--LyondellBasell has restarted its Channelview crackers in Texas that went down on Friday as a result of power outage, market sources said on Wednesday.

The company has two crackers at the site with a combined 1.75m tonnes/year of ethylene capacity.

LyondellBasell spokesperson declined to comment on the restart, citing company policy.

US ethylene for October and November was offered at 50.25 cents/lb ($1,108/tonne, €798/tonne), down from deals done at 52.25-52.50 cents/lb on Monday.

The drop was likely related to the restart in Channelview, a market source said.
