TOKYO (ICIS)--Japan's Toyo Engineering has been awarded an energy optimisation project for SABIC’s ammonia facility at Al-Jubail in ?xml:namespace>
Toyo Engineering will remodel the 1,300 tonne/day ammonia plant and package boilers operated by Al-Jubail Fertilizer Company to reduce and optimise their energy consumption, the company said in a statement.
The project is scheduled to be completed in the second quarter of 2013 and includes engineering, building as well as pre-commissioning and commissioning assistance on a lump sum turnkey basis, it said.
The ammonia plant has been in operation since 1983, according to Toyo Engineering.
Al-Jubail Fertilizer Company is a 50:50 joint venture between SABIC and Taiwan Fertilizer Company.
