HOUSTON (ICIS)--Eastman Chemical expects its Longview cracker in Texas to resume normal operations on Tuesday, following a compressor trip the previous day, the company said.

The partial shutdown resulted in a small emission of butadiene (BD), a company spokesperson said.

The cause of the compressor trip is being investigated, Eastman said in a filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).

The cracker has 358,000 tonnes/year of ethylene capacity.

Eastman has two other smaller crackers in Longview, each with 141,000 tonnes/year production capacity.
