US Graham secures contracts for petchem plant, refinery

HOUSTON (ICIS)--US engineering firm Graham has been awarded contracts to help expand capacity at an Asian ethylene plant, refinery and biomass power plant, the company said on Thursday.

The contracts have a combined value of $4.3m (€3.1m) and should be complete by 2013.

Graham did not provide the amount for each contract, nor did the company disclose capacity amounts.

Graham also did not identify the owners of plants. The company did not immediately return calls seeking comment.

For the Asian ethylene plant, Graham will be providing two custom-engineered surface condensers.

In the US, Graham will install a vacuum ejector system in an oil refinery that is being revamped to expand capacity as well as expand its capability to process crude oil from the Bakken shale in North Dakota.

Finally, Graham will supply a steam surface condenser for a biomass power plant.
