SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea’s Honam Petrochemical has bought by tender two 25,000 tonne naphtha cargoes for delivery into Daesan in the first half of December, a company source said on Friday.
The cargoes were awarded at parity, he added.
The company will shut its 750,000 tonne/year cracker in Yeosu for 40 days of maintenance and debottlenecking from April to May 2012. Following that, the plant’s capacity will reach 1m tonnes/year.
The cracker is operating at 100% as Honam’s 1m tonne/year naphtha cracker in Daesan is undergoing regular maintenance from 10 October to 9 November.
