SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea’s KP Chemical will shut its paraxylene (PX) and orthoxylene (OX) facilities in August 2012 for 15-20 days of maintenance, a company source said on Wednesday.
“We will most likely alternate the shutdown of the two lines as we will continue to have contract obligations that will need to be met during the scheduled turnaround,” the source said.
KP Chemical runs two PX and OX production facilities in Ulsan. The company can produce a total of 775,000 tonnes/year of PX and 230,000 tonnes/year of OX.
