SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Thailand’s Integrated Refinery and Petrochemical Complex (IRPC) has shut down its 36,000 tonne/year Group I base oil plant at Rayong for scheduled maintenance from 1 November, a company source said on Wednesday.

The turnaround is expected to last 45 days, the source added.

“It should [re]start by 15 December at the latest,” he said.

Slackwax is crude wax produced as a by-product from refining Group I base oils, and is used as raw material in the manufacture of paraffin waxes.
