SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Fuxiang Chemical plans to start up its 100,000 tonne/year styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) plant at Quanzhou in Fujian province in late November after several delays, a source close to the company said on Monday.

The plant was originally scheduled to be started up late last year, but this was delayed several times because of technical problems, the source said.

The last date set was in October, but the start-up was postponed again because of problems with equipment, the source added.

Fuxiang Chemical, established on 25 December 2009, is a joint venture between Fujian Petrochemical Industrial Corp, Meizhouwan Chlor-Alkali Industry and Fujian Huaxing Group, according to the website of the Fujian Petrochemical Industrial Group.
