SHANGHAI (ICIS)--PetroChina started commercial operations at the first phase of its liquefied natural gas (LNG) project at ?xml:namespace>
Test runs at the first phase of PetroChina’s LNG project, which includes a 3.5m tonne/year receiving terminal and sea-crossing pipeline, had started in May, the source said.
In the second phase of the project, the capacity of the terminal and pipeline would be raised to 6.5m tonnes/year by the end of 2013, the source said.
Construction of the terminal started in January 2008, with the first phase completed in May 2011, the source said.
