China’s Yangzi Petrochemical shuts Nanjing HDPE line briefly

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Yangzi Petrochemical has shut its 80,000 tonne/year high density polyethylene (HDPE) line in Nanjing province for a two-day turnaround, a company source said on Thursday.

The plant produces extrusion grade material, the source said, without giving further details on the shutdown.

The turnaround has no significant impact on the local HDPE market as the capacity of the plant is low, a local distributor said.

Yangzi Petrochemical is running its two other 80,000 tonne/year and 100,000 tonne/year HDPE lines at the same site normally, the source added.
